The attacks come a day after Kyiv said it seriously damaged a Russian submarine and landing ship undergoing repairs in a missile strike on a shipyard in the Crimean port of Sevastopol, home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet. REUTERS/StringerMOSCOW, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Russian air defences on Friday downed a Ukrainian drone as it flew towards an unspecified target in Moscow, the defence ministry said, the latest in a flurry of drone attacks on the Russian capital. Earlier, Moscow's Vnukovo airport and Kaluga airport, some 150 km (95 miles) southwest of the capital, were temporarily shut due to a suspected drone flight. Drone air strikes deep inside Russia have increased since a drone was destroyed over the Kremlin in early May. Russia said on Thursday that it had downed 13 Ukrainian drones seeking to attack Moscow and also the largest city in Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

Aug 4 (Reuters) - Ukrainian sea drones attacked a Russian navy base near the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, a major hub for Russian exports, early on Friday and were destroyed by Russian warships, Russia's defence ministry said. The attack prompted the Novorossiysk port to temporarily halt all ship movement, according to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium which operates an oil terminal there. Russian social media users reported hearing explosions and gunfire near Novorossiysk on Friday morning. Russia has also reported an attack by Ukrainian sea drones on its warships which were escorting a civilian vessel. Russian air defences downed 10 Ukrainian drones over Crimea on Friday morning and suppressed three more with electronic countermeasures, TASS cited the Russian defence ministry as saying.

July 24 (Reuters) - An ammunition depot was hit during a Ukrainian drone attack on Dzhankoi in Crimea early on Monday, with Russian air defence forces shooting down or electronically jamming 11 drones over the area, a Russian-installed official said. It was not immediately clear whether the ammunition depot was directly hit by a drone or if it was damaged by falling drone debris. Ukrainian officials have long said the city and surrounding areas have been turned into Moscow's largest military base in Crimea. On Saturday, Aksyonov said a drone caused an explosion at an ammunition depot in central Crimea, prompting authorities to evacuate nearby people and briefly suspend road traffic on the bridge linking the peninsula to Russia. Ukraine did claim that incident, saying its army had destroyed an oil depot and Russian army warehouses.

July 18 (Reuters) - Russia repelled a Ukrainian drone attack on Crimea in the early hours of Tuesday, the Russian defence ministry said, a day after an attack on the Crimean bridge which damaged it and disrupted car traffic. Russian air defences destroyed 17 drones and another 11 drones were intercepted by electronic warfare systems, the ministry said. On Monday, a blast knocked out Russia's bridge to Crimea in what Moscow called a strike by Ukrainian sea drones, killing two people. Moscow annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine in 2014.
